Plzeň - Olympia Plzeň

The distance from Plzeñ to the border crossing of Rozvadov is 75 km. Being an attractive town with 170,000 inhabi­tants, Plzeñ is the cultural, business, transport and industrial centre of the Plzeñ region.

Plzeñ is known for its University of Western Bohemia and the Medical School of Charles University, which draws students from all regions of the Czech Republic as well as from abroad. The Plzeñ region is a popular tourist destination, thanks to its history and its natural beauty. Its proximity to the German border enables it to attract many visitors from Germany as Olympia Plzeñ is a good place for shopping.

The age structure of the inhabitants of Plzeñ is that 64.8% are between 15–59 years. The number of inhabitants in the catchment area is 420,000; of which 170,000 are in Plzeñ itself.

The density of traffic on the adjacent motorway is approximately 25,000 cars per day. The Centrum Olympia Plzeñ is located close to the D5 motorway bypass, in the south of Plzeñ, (Plzeñ – Cernice). This is on the way to the main bordercrossing between Germany and the Czech Republic. It is linked to the town centre by the E 49 road.

Olympia Plzeñ is a modern shopping centre with a multifunctional character and it offers diverse shopping in specialised shops and several restaurants and coffee houses. Through its size, offer, location, accessibility and design Olympia Plzeñ is the dominant shopping centre in the region.
