CPI Group purchased a shopping zone in České Budějovice

The real estate CPI Group continues in expansion to the Czech regional cities.

In Budweis (České Budějovice) purchased the Bauhaus retail property for CZK 435 mil (EUR 17,2 mil) from the IMMOFINANZ Group and EYEMAXX Real Estate. In recent times it is a second investment in Southern Bohemia region.

The latest activities confirm consolidation of the CPI Group position in Czech regions. In summer the investor enlarged its housing stocks in Litvinov city with 2 700 units, in Usti nad Labem is finishing a multipurpose complex including offices, retail and hotel. In Budweis (Southern Bohemia) the CPI Group extended its portfolio of offices and retail by acquisition of shopping centre IGY and a reconstruction of nearby hotel Gomel scheduled for the next year. The latest acquisition in Southern Bohemia is the retail zone with Bauhaus building materials chain in the north-western part of Budweis. The property has approx. 42,000 sqm of space including Bauhaus retail property with 18,500 sqm and 380 parking spaces. Bauhaus retail area is located near to the shopping centre Géčko and benefits by good location and transportation.

The CPI Group is primarily involved in the field of investments this year. During the last eleven months the company acquired a prestigious office building in Prague 4 Modřany (15,000 sqm), which is the headquarters of the international food concern Nestlé since 2006, several retail properties in Czech regions, in Litvínov took control of a residential portfolio of 2,700 rental flats which, to a greater extent, formerly belonged to the Chemopetrol petrochemical concern (today Unipetrol RPA). Among the last acquisitions fall the office Longin Business Centre in Prague 2, shopping center IGY and Bauhaus zone in České Budějovice. A total amount of the investments exceeded CZK 5,5 bln (EUR 220 mil).
